We always end our Disney trips at the Magic Kingdom.  So off we go!

Here's my two cuties at the bus stop.
Every trip we have a little Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin competition.  The boy team beat the girl team sadly...
My two kiddos (and the husband for that matter) LOVE playing Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.  Its and interactive card game you play in the park.  Here's a youtube video Avery did telling about it a while back.
We rode lots of other rides that I didn't take pics of, ate lunch, and then they wanted to ride the PeopleMover.  The PeopleMover just takes you around Tomorrowland and is so relaxing.
We had dinner at Chef Mickey's that night.  It's really not one of my favorite, but my kids love it so we always eat there.
Ummmm...Ryleigh...Could you stop eating for just a minute and say hi to Donald?

Hand kiss for the girl...
And fist bump for the boy!
Back to Magic Kingdom after dinner! Ryleigh wanted to ride Space Mountain one more time.  Oh this girl...
And as they shut the park down, we rode on the back of an elephant.
Here's some more pics from our last day.
I love 9 years old!  Most of the time we're a big girl, but we can still turn back into a little girl.
We got up the next morning, packed, used our 23 leftover snack credits to take home, and headed out for the 9.5 hour drive.
That's our 2017 Disney trip.  If you missed days 1-5 you can find them here...

First come first serve- deals will go fast!!

Day 5 is here!  We hopped a bus as soon as we got ready and head breakfast and set off for Hollywood Studios!
One of our very favorite rides is Toy Story Mania and we had fastpasses for it in 30 minutes and there was a 30 minute line already 10 minutes after park opening, so we decided to wait in line so we could ride it twice.  (That was a really long sentence)!  The line is pretty cool and moves fast.  And look how cute they are!
First ride was kids vs. parents... (We won...)
Second ride was Avery/Mama vs. Ryleigh/Daddy.  (They won...)
My family is big Star Wars geeks, errrr...I mean fans, so they were all pretty excited about seeing Star Wars guys.  Ryleigh has always liked the "bad guy" in movies (very concerned about her future boyfriends), so of course she likes Kylo Ren.  She was soooooo very excited to meet him (pretty sure she thought it was the real Kylo Ren) and I completely expected her to get all fan girl on him.

I mean she could not contain her excitement.  It was about to overflow out of her! (Note her shirt...)

It was finally our turn and the video says the rest...#kylorenisnotahugger #shesaysthiswasniceforhim
This dude had the whole bad guy vibe going down!  Stared us down while we were walking out. Creepy!

Then we hopped in line to meet Chewbacca.  Ryleigh was pretty worried about meeting him with her Kylo Ren shirt on because apparently they aren't friends.  She has a Hans Solo pin though so she pulled it out to distract him with.  Worked for a minute.  He looked at it and made sad noises.  Then he noticed her shirt apparently...

He was not a fan...And I think all the noises and pointing meant that he was accusing me of buying it for her.
He gave me a hug anyway and still took pictures with us.  As we were walking out though he kept doing the "I''ve got my eyes on you" pointing thing at Ryleigh.
We met this dude in the hallway.  I think I was told he's a Jawa? Or that's his name?  Not sure...
And there were stormtroopers walking around. They were hilarious and looking for rebel spies.
We have a Disney Visa so one of the perks is getting a private meet n greet with a surprise character.  I was pretty sure it was Kylo Ren...And it was...Kylo Ren take 2!
This Kylo Ren was nicer and I gave my phone to the camera people to get a family pic, but I really wish I had a video.  He sent us away and just kept Ryleigh.  He said something about waiting on her and being patient and something about serving him well.  #ithinkmydaughterjoinedthedarkside #dotheyhavecookies
We ate lunch at Hollywood and Vine for my friend's 2 year old.  Avery didn't want anything to do with "the baby characters" but Ryleigh played along.
Next up, Tower of Terror!  So Ryleigh had been wanting to ride this, but was pretty nervous.  She had a breakdown in line, but didn't back out.
She cried the entire time from the line to the end of the ride, asked me several times as we yo-yo dropped "is it over?", kept her eyes closed, and held my arm for dear life.  But when it was really over said in a sobbing voice, "That was fun!"  Ummmm...then why are you still crying?
Rock n' Roller coaster was shut down most of that day for some reason, so we never got a chance to ride it.

Oh and btw it rained off and on most of this day.  Just sprinkly for the most part, but enough to be annoying. We had VIP Fantasmic seats.  It decided to rain slightly more right at time for the show.  They started the show and I don't know if maybe Mickey slipped or something, but about 5 minutes into they cut the lights and announced it was canceled due to the weather.  Well shoot!  So, we called it a night and headed to Caribbean Beach Resort. And found our 1,257 stuffed animals staring at us again...
Not sure if I'll have time for the last day this weekend, so it may be Monday before its up!  Here's a couple more pics of our day. See you soon!

Welcome to Animal Kingdom!
We started Day 4 our day 4 with Avery and that hat...
We always skip this park because we thought there wasn't a lot to do there and we basically didn't want to waste a park day going to the zoo.  Last time we went Avery was 3 and Ryleigh was 1.  She slept through the safari ride and we couldn't really do much else because they were too little for the couple of big rides and not that interested in shows.  But we decided to try again. First ride, Dinosaur!
So basically this day, we walked around, rode the few rides they have, did not see a single show, and apparently I didn't take that many pictures.   Here's the one I took from the safari, though!
The one picture I took from the safari is of the one gorilla we saw chilling under a rock.

Ryleigh had big plans of riding Expedition Everest.  Just a regular roller coaster that goes 50something miles an hour, backwards, and has a scary yeti inside it.  No big deal!
First ride with her daddy.  She's got that posing for the camera thing down to an art...
Second ride with me.  That's a real scream from me btw...She was wanting us to pose and I was saying, "Is this where the camera is?" we went down the hill really fast and I wasn't ready...
And 3rd ride with our friends.  We were supposed to be acting terrified/dramatic.
We were so proud of these brave girls riding without us and by themselves!  Here they go over the first hill! :)
So brave!
We had dinner at Ohana's that night.  This restaurant is in my top 5 of favorite Disney restaurants!  So good!  Also, we always schedule our dinner reservations when its almost time for Wishes and we always request a table with fireworks viewing.  You can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks really well and they play the music in the restaurant.  The request isn't guaranteed, but they try.  They got us pretty close this time.  And I apparently was enjoying my food, fireworks, and family so much that I didn't take a single picture!

My kids must bring 58 of their favorite stuffed animals whenever we go on vacation.  Is this normal or just my kids?!?  Our cleaning person at the resort had fun arranging these every night and was probably confused about why there were so many!
That pretty much sums up our Animal Kingdom day.  I'm so glad we decided to go this time because it was so relaxing and not near as crowded.  We needed a "down" day where we didn't feel so rushed to do everything.  To see my day 1, day 2, and day 3 recaps click here, here and here! :)

And here's one last pic for you of a hippo.  Those things are huge!  :)

Hello Magic Kingdom! This is our favorite out of the 4 parks! Tried to make it by park opening, but, once again, we were about 15 minutes late.  We took family pics at the entrance with 1,268 other people.
Ryleigh was still in her be brave/ride all roller coasters/overcome fear mode so we headed straight to Space Mountain.  Avery had no plans of riding, but we all stood in line anyway, just in case he changed his mind.  He didn't.
She just had a mini freakout in line, but still got on.  She wanted her daddy to hold her on the ride, but...
Still managed to pose for the camera! LOL!

Two roller coasters conquered!  Might as well head to another! Big Thunder Mountain, here we come!
Big Thunder Mountain is probably in my top 5 of favorite rides.  And Ryleigh rode it like a pro!  No fear of roller coasters anymore!

Beating it in my list of favorites is Seven Dwarves Mine Train.  Just so fun and I love the Snow White scenery and of course the dwarves! Avery will even ride this one!
Space Mountain again this time with MEEE!!  She wanted me to hold her, so I did.  And I got the biggest, most painful bruise EVER on my arm from where it was banging on the seat holding on to her.  Oh, and she tried to pose for the camera again, but thought it was on the other side...
We rode several other rides in here btw.  These are apparently the only ones I took pics of though.

While Ryleigh and her daddy rode Big Thunder Mountain again, Avery and I played the pirate adventure game we had passed earlier that he had been dying to play.  It's a cool, little interactive treasure hunt type game located in Adventureland. And when you finish a treasure hunt you get Fastpasses for Pirates of the Caribbean.  We ended up with about 12 we handed out to someone on our last day since we didn't get to use them all.
You get a map and use your magic band to find clues. Pretty neat and something different from rides if you need a break.
Dinner reservations were for Be Our Guest that evening.  The kids got to take turns holding Lumiere on the way to our table! We love Be Our Guest!  The strawberry cupcakes is my favorite and I love the atmosphere!  Looks like you've stepped right into the movie!
Such a fun day!  Here's a few more pics from the day.
So pretty!
Come back tomorrow for Day 4!  We're heading to Animal Kingdom!  Click HERE for Day 1 and HERE for Day 2!
We got up bright and early Sunday morning to eat breakfast and head to Epcot.  My goal every day was to be there before park opening, but it never happened.  We were always 15-20 minutes later than park opening.  I tried...
My favorite people walking the little hike to breakfast at Caribbean Beach Resort.  We enjoyed our little walks every morning.  It was so pretty!

Ryleigh decided she was going to overcome her fears and be brave and ride every roller coaster.  She even asked for prayer requests in her Sunday school class.
Avery on the other hand, would get a nervous stomach thinking about Ryleigh riding roller coasters. Must be the "twin" thing. ;)  So, Will and Ryleigh headed straight to Test Track, which I'm pretty sure is the fastest coaster in all of Disney World, and Avery and I headed to ride other rides (which turned into looking at pins forever).

Ryleigh was pretty nervous about Test Track, but forced herself on it.
Here she is hiding and holding on to her daddy for dear life.  She said she kept waiting for it to get bad, and it never got as bad as she imagined.

Test Track conquered!

And here's Avery and I hanging out.

We met back up and toured the world.  My two like to do the Kidcot thing and get the stamps from all the different countries while we walk.
If you know my daughter you know she's OBSESSED with pandas.  She was in panda heaven in China!
Both of them really like China and needed souvenirs.
Ryleigh picked some decorations for her room (after I said no to more panda stuffed animals approximately 4,822 times and Avery picked...
This awesome hat!!  :D

We also stopped by the France bakery for snacks.
Ryleigh was very jealous that her brother got to meet Beymax so we had to go see him one more time.
How cute is she?!?!  Look at that face!  She's 9, so sadly I'm pretty sure she knows Mickey Mouse isn't a real mouse and just a human dressed up, but I'm also pretty sure she thought this was the real, authentic Beymax.  :D

We ate dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, The Garden Grill.  It's way up on our favorite list because a. the food is always good and b. its small and the characters come to your table more than once, and its very laid back.

Everyone takes selfies with Disney characters, right?
And let's not forget the fake twins birthday cakes!
It was so very busy this day, so we ended up not getting to ride two of our favorites, Soarin' and Spaceship Earth.  Oh well!  There's always next time.

A few more pics of our day.
Our sweet friends we tried to spend as much time as possible with. :)

After walking over 20,000 steps we headed back to our resort to sleep and get ready for Magic Kingdom the next day! I plan to recap it tomorrow!  See day 1 recap HERE.

My little family and I went to Disney World last week!  And we wanted to live there and are sad to be back to reality.  Day 1 is really day 1/2 because we decided to leave on Friday after work and drive as far as we could and then drive just a little on Saturday.
So after everyone was home from school and work, we packed, loaded the car, and headed south. (Yes, I'm a last minute packer.  You could say, "let's go to <insert destination>, be ready in an hour!" and I'd be ready).

And....hit Atlanta about 6pm on a Friday night...If you've ever driven through Atlanta, GA then you know what I'm talking about...

Pretty sure this is what my face looked like the whole way through ATL...

We were actually making really good time and made it to Valdosta, GA about 11pm.  Will decided it was time for bed so we pulled off an exit to look for a motel.  We found one with vacancy, but it was way too expensive for a few hours.  We can do better than that. Famous last words...

We drove, and drove, and drove, and there was no vacancy...Anywhere...From Valdosta to Orlando...NO VACANCY...

We were up for anything...Motel 6, EconoLodge, Not picky at this point.

3am...we find a resort that looked not too bad in the dark...

And they were renovating.  The guy said they had one room with one bed and no curtain...Ummmm...we'll take it?
That's our room, right up there, on the second floor, with no curtain...

How I slept that night/morning...
So that's an adventure we'll talk about for years!

Luckily, while we were laying there, Will got a text that our room at Disney was ready.  HALLELUJAH! We got out of there and headed to Disney World!

We stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. In a pirate room!  So fun and the kids loved it!  I had heard bad things about the long walk from the rooms to the food court, but we didn't mind at all.  As a matter of fact, we all enjoyed our little 13 minute (we timed it) walk every morning before breakfast.
We showered, checked out our resort, and headed to Disney Springs (aka downtown Disney).
My kids are into Disney pin trading, so they needed something to keep their collections in.  They have lanyards, but sometimes the pins fall off and then we're sad when they are lost. Avery got a big bag for his and Ryleigh chose a small one.
Snack time!

We had dinner reservations at T-Rex Cafe.  Pretty cool place, but so very loud! We ordered the Chocolate Extinction for dessert, complete with a volcano in the middle.  Oh, and btw, we always say we're celebrating their birthdays while we are at Disney.  Ryleigh's is February 13, so pretty close, but Avery's is in November.  Whatever.  They get told happy birthday all week and asked 1000 times if they are twins.  This trip they decided to answer yes to that question. They had a whole twin story going. ;)
Afterwards, we hopped a bus back to our resort and slept so much better than the night before.  Or maybe that was just me?  See you tomorrow for Day 2!
